Dan Crowell - Chief Executive Officer
Dan Crowell serves as President and CEO for Crowell Solutions, Inc. Dan founded the company in 2001 with the mission to provide the highest quality service and return on investment to customers, satisfying and challenging careers for employees, and profits for shareholders. Prior to Crowell Solutions, Dan served the financial, real estate, healthcare & telecom industries as a consultant, developing enterprise database and ecommerce applications. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Dan still regularly writes code. He holds the MCSD certification, the highest level of certification offered by Microsoft for solution architects.
Rick Schochler - Chief Operating Officer
Rick Schochler serves as the Chief Operations Officer (COO) for Crowell Solutions, Inc. Rick has over a decade’s experience working with Content Management Systems, XML-based applications, and developing XSL-based transforms. Prior to joining Crowell Solutions, Rick worked for Innodata Isogen, serving in the training department and as a Senior Analyst before assuming the role of Vice President of Aerospace and Defense. Rick enjoys rolling up his sleeves and helping his customers solve complex technical challenges.
Eric Lawson - Chief Technology Officer
Eric Lawson is the Chief Technology Officer for Crowell Solutions. Eric joined Crowell Solutions in 2008, and since then has been pivotal in the architecture, development, and deployment of enterprise-class systems for Fortune 500 customers in the defense and aerospace industries using open standards such as S1000D, ATA, MilSpec, and DITA.
Eric is responsible for overseeing large scale customer projects involving XML and related standards. Eric's expertise in consulting includes requirements gathering, tool recommendations, design (OOA&D), implementation, deployment, and training. Eric is in expert in the utilization and development of Java/J2EE, .NET (C#, VB, C++) and traditional C++ technologies. Eric is also a member of the S1000D technical committee, and was the lead architect for the Joint Strike Fighter technical documentation system.
Donald Smith, PhD - Vice President
Donald Smith is a Senior Data Architect and Vice President for Crowell Solutions. Don has over 10 years experience designing and implementing data models for XML-based systems. Don's work has spanned a range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, defense intelligence, and more. He has particular expertise in XML Schema and RDF/OWL information design. Don has worked for years in designing and delivering corporate training curricula and courses. Don's most recent work includes developing Knowledge Management Applications and S1000D Business Rule development.
Mel Bobadilla - Senior Systems Architect
Mel Bobadilla is a Senior Systems Architect for Crowell Solutions, Inc. Mel brings expertise stemming from an array of technical and creative disciplines. Mel has experience in designing and implementing enterprise architectures for systems in several lines of business like telecom, e-commerce, and assets management. As a consultant prior to joining the company, Mel has gained valuable experience from designing and writing code utilizing a mixture of technologies. Mel also provides a creative focus on projects that require UI strategy and design.
Kate McDonald, MBA - Director of Program Management
Kate McDonald is Crowell Solutions' Director of Program Management. Kate has over ten years of experience as an analyst and project manager for Content Management System and XML-based application development projects. She has worked in a variety of industries, including aerospace and defense, petroleum equipment manufacturing, aircraft manufacturing, and telecommunications. Prior to joining Crowell Solutions, Kate worked for Innodata Isogen as a project manager prior to becoming Vice President of the Aerospace and Defense division.
