Decision Points Screen
The Decision Points data entry screen tracks the decisions made for each business rule. This is where users spend most of their time.
Search
Ability to rapidly search Decision Points saves a tremendous amount of time. The search methods provided are:
- Filtering - Decision Points can be filtered by:
- Chapter
- Workflow status
- Category
- User assigned to
- Keyword search - provides the ability to search for keywords within Decision Points.
Workflow
Statuses track the decision point workflow. The workflow statuses may be customized for your organization. This is a typical workflow for a decision point in a business rules project.
Reporting
Reports provide the means to publish information from DecisionPoint™ The reports include:
- Dashboard Report - the dashboard is used to track progress throughout a project. It shows the total number of decision points and how many are in each workflow status.
- Business Rules Exchange (BREX) Data Module Report - The BREX output is in XML. It can be loaded directly into your CSDB Tool to enforce business rules.
- Decision Point Report - Outputs Decision Points in various formats including HTML, MS Word and XML
BREX Rules Screen
The BREX Rules data entry screen manages authoring rule information. It is the source for the BREX report.
Categories
Categories manage the information used to categorize decision points. Categories include:
- Authoring
- Illustration
- Publishing
- Supplier Management
- Remote Authoring
- Configuration Control
- Workflow Management
The categories can be customized for each program.
Chapters
The Chapters list the chapters from the S1000D specification. Each chapter contains multiple decision points.
Information Codes
The Information Codes screen is used to track information codes. Information Codes are used to identify the exact purpose of a data module.
